Snowdonia National Park is located in the west of North Wales. The national park is home 
to Snowdon, which is the largest mountain in England and Wales. Snowdonia is the third most visited National Park in England and Wales and is very popular amongst trekkers, climbers and mountain bikers. The terrain is breath taking and Snowdonia is the perfect location to explore, attracting over 6 million visitors every year.
Snowdonia is full of small towns and villages and accommodation Snowdonia isn’t hard to find. Many of the villages in Snowdonia were originally established as Slate Quarrying towns, but most of the villages now see their income coming in from tourists. There are many farming areas in the region as well, as agriculture is very common and many villages sell their own local produce. Some of the most popular villages in Snowdonia include Bethesda, Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Llanbedr and Harlech.
The National Park is home to a lot of wildlife, including some rare species, like otters, polecats, ravens and peregrines. Snowdonia is one of the wettest parts of the UK, with Crib Goch being the wettest part in the country
