Bethesda is home to Penrhyn Quarry, which is home to the largest zip line in the whole of Europe – located next to lodges North Wales in Ogwen Bank Holiday Park.

Described as ‘The closest thing to flying’ – for the price of only £25 you can whizz through the air over the lake for a whole mile, an absolutely thrilling experience which not only provides you with a life experience you won’t forget in a hurry, but also spectacular views of the surrounding scenery so you can see the world as an eagle does! You are also provided with a vehicle tour of the historic quarry and given a look into the vivid industrial history which has many incredible tales, brought to life by the instructors.
There’s also a ‘Little Zipper’ which is about a 3rd of the length of the main attraction, measuring at 500 metres. This can accommodate Ages 7 and above as opposed to the Big Zipper which requires you to be ages 10+, so more of the family can zip through the air!
All profits are donated towards stroke services in Wales and the rest of the UK, providing rehabilitation and support for families who deal with stroke research and prevention.
