The newly developed and first of its kind Wavegarden is putting on its first major event, 
which has been organized in partnership with Red Bull. Unleashed is a surfing competition that will some of the world’s most exciting free surfers face off on one of the coolest new outdoor sports developments on the planet in the town of Dolgarrog.
Merely a few weeks into the launch of the brand new exciting development, the surf center will be opening its doors to spectators coming from far and wide, as they get together to observe some of the best surfing action the world has to offer. The innovative event format is made possible by the reliable on-demand waves that will see a Formula 1 style leaderboard qualifying rounds to narrow a 24 surfer field down to 16, using their highest single wave score. The event will also host a medieval themed jousting style tournament and have the ability to draw inspiration from the historical area and natural beauty of Snowdonia landscapes that make the tournaments setting incredibly beautiful.
Each surfer will go wave for wave against each other in a best of five match play style clashes in a bid to reach the final and become the eventual champion. Spectators can enjoy mind-blowing performances from some of the most exciting surfers in the world as they enjoy a flow of constant perfect waves in a stadium atmosphere. A crowd of around 2,500 are to be expected at this event, so don’t miss your chance to catch this first of its kind event in the world famous Snowdonia area.
