Bangor hosts many different events every week of the year, so there is plenty to get your hands on. On 1st June until 3rd June 2012 (over the bank holiday weekend) there is the “Kaya Festival” taking place at the Vaynol Estate in Bangor.
The “Kaya Festival” is a global world music festival set in the grounds of the picturesque Vaynol Estate. The festival will be holding different music assortments including; African, Jamaican, Caribbean and world musical flavors along with acts which are more familiar across the UK. There is also a diverse range of workshops, food stalls and festival activities that are fun and interesting for all the family. The Vaynol Estate venue played recent successful host to the BBC Big Weekend in the summer of 2010, proving to be a fantastic venue for festivals such as the “Kaya Festival”.
The festival is well worth a visit, with tickets being available for different days or the entire weekend. The festival is also putting an emphasis on helping out charities in relation to the festivals acts and beliefs.
