The Anglesey Show in North Wales is one of the main agricultural shows in the region, it is an event that happens every year held at the Mona Showground in the heart of Anglesey. After the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells, this show is the second biggest agricultural show in Wales attracting on average 56,000 people over two days, 3000 exhibitors and 350 trade stands spread over 160 acres. This year we see the show celebrating its 125th year.
The show is open both days from 8am to 6pm and during this time it has a jam packed programme of events scheduled throughout the day so whatever time of day you choose to visit there will be something happening to keep you entertained.
The Anglesey Show see’s people from all over the country come back year after year, it really is a great way to get out and communicate with other farmers and like minded people which to many who attend is far more important than winning.
The good natured rivalry gives the show it’s unique and exciting atmosphere and really is something there for everyone with the oyster festival for foodies, beer festival for those that are partial to a tipple or two, the arts festival for culture vultures and also a walking festival for walkers.
The Anglesey Show this year takes place on the 14th & 15th August 2012.
