Portmeirion is set to be the venue for ‘Festival Number 6’ – a music and culture festival at one of North Wales’ most iconic villages this weekend.
On the 13th, 14th and 15th September 2013, there will be a fantastic combination of breathtaking views and neo-classical architecture of Portmeirion, with music from headline acts James Blake, My Bloody Valentine, Manic Street Preachers and much more.
Considered as one of the coolest festivals to grace North Wales, Festival Number 6 is not considered to be the same as other festivals, where people may commonly turn up and go crazy. This festival is more suited to those who wish to marvel the intracy that’s gone into transforming this seaside village into a music, cultural and food/drink paradise – located in an unbeatable area of North Wales. The region is equipped with scenery, culture and accommodation such as a holiday park North Wales.
Divided into different sections, there is a range of venues for visitors to enjoy the different aspects of the festival. Transformed for the festival, the Town Hall, Colonade Gardens, The Stone Boat, The Lighthouse, the estuary of the River Dwyryd, Tangle Woods and The Chinese Lake, there’s all sorts of places to go and explore while in the town.
Already armed with several awards, including a 5 star rating from the Guardian, the Independent, the i newspaper, along with ‘Best Small Festival’ by NME awards. Having only been established for one year, this festival is set to wow once again this year – and every one that follows. Continuing to line up the best in music legends, stars and upcoming acts, you can be sure to enjoy a wonderful weekend in the welsh sunshine. Don’t miss this fabulous festival, located just outside of Porthmadog and just a 30 minute drive away from West Point Beach Resort – a fantastic holiday park North Wales to stay at this year.
