December means it’s time for the annual visit from Father Christmas himself, but this year he’s bringing a few elf helpers along! Join them on a trip along the train line that will be running between Caernarfon and Waunfawr on the Welsh Highland Railway, departing from Caernarfon at 10:20, 12:30 and 14:30 on 8th/9th, 15th/16th and 22nd/23rd December.
The train journeys/ trips out are perfect for both children and adults, as the on-board entertainment and festive refreshments are designed to cater for every visitor. Santa and his helpers will be passing through the train giving away gifts to good boys and girls, whilst making jovial jokes to get everyone into the festive cheer of Christmas!
Not only will you have a fantastic time riding the train and meeting Santa, you will get the opportunity to take photos with him and his helpers at Tan-y-Bwlch or Waunfawr! Although snow on the ground isn’t a given, we are keeping our fingers crossed for some festive weather to add to the Christmas atmosphere!
Those adults coming along for the seasonal train ride will be pleasantly presented with some festive treats! Tasty sherry and gorgeous mince pies mean that there is no shortage of delicious treats for the journey back.
To get involved in this fantastic opportunity, it is recommended you make an advanced booking with Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, which you can do online via their website.
The Welsh Highland Railway ticket prices are set at £11.00 third class/ £16.00 first class for Adults and Children. Children under 2 prices are £3.00. Train tickets are often sold out before departure, so don’t miss a great opportunity and phone the booking office now!
