The festive season is soon approaching, and the Portmeirion food and craft fair is the perfect event to get you and your family into the holiday spirit.
If you are looking for accommodation in North Wales, The Oakeley Arms offer luxury self-catering cottages in Snowdonia, which can make your visit to Wales that extra bit special. These cottages are an ideal 15 minute drive away from the annual Portmeirion festive fair.
Visit the scenic Italianate village, which has been the setting for various films, music videos and television programmes over the years. Between December 2nd and December 4th, this delightful village will be transformed into a winter wonderland.
Over 100 stalls showcasing delicious food and drink, gorgeously hand-crafted homeware, and homemade gifts will be available to browse through over the weekend. Every stall will be owned by a local Welsh business, as the fair aims to support the continuation of local produce and craft.
In true festive tradition, homemade mulled wine will be served to warm up visitors whilst they explore the winter wonderland.
Creative cooking classes from expert chefs will also be available, giving you the chance to learn expert cooking skills from some of the top chefs in the country. If your kitchen skills are slightly lacking, this could be a fantastic opportunity!
Children can jump onto the ‘Woodland Express’ all the way to the Grotto, where Santa and his busy elves can be found toiling away in their workshop. Live music and additional family entertainment will also be featured throughout the weekend, with more information still to come.
Wrap up warm this December and visit Portmeirion for an enchanting festive experience in the prominent picturesque town.
Ticket prices to the fair start at £4, and more information can be found at the Portmeirion website.
