snowdon challenge

Are you an individual who enjoys a challenge or simply wants to try something out of the ordinary? The Snowdon Challenge will give you this opportunity and involves a combination of cycling, trekking and canoeing.

This is a challenge for those who have a high level of fitness already, as this is a testament to your ability to push yourself physically and mentally every step of the way. The sense of achievement and satisfaction from the completion of this challenge however, is what makes all the handwork worthwhile!

The Snowdon Challenge will commence by arriving in the early evening on the Saturday, where you will be introduced to your team and briefed by the leaders.

The following morning brings breakfast to fuel your day, before leaving bright and early to begin the challenge by cycling along the shores of Llyn Padarn. From there you will pass through Snowdonia National Park to Llyn Cwellyn, which will be your first checkpoint of the day.

From there you will swap bikes for boots and begin the ascent of Snowdon. You will climb Snowdon via the Rangers Path, which will take the team approximately three hours to complete. Once you reach the summit, you will be able to see the stunning views across Snowdonia and the challenge route, but bare in mind these views will only be accessible if the weather is good.

Once you head back down into the lovely Llanberis, the final leg of the Snowdon Challenge will begin. This step will see you canoe along the shores of Llyn Padarn for 4km. Remember to take you celebratory photo of you and your team members, with Snowdon as the ultimate backdrop for a memorable achievement.
