The festive period is well and truly underway, so it’s time to enjoy 
Christmas themed events in the North Wales area. For those that fancy getting into the festive spirit, the perfect event is here at your doorstep. The popular and annual ‘Santa Trains’ are back and are running on both the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railway, conveniently located, near Dolffanog Fach Bed and Breakfast in Snowdonia.
Embark on a festive adventure that will take you across the glorious Welsh countryside in a short trip out that combines Christmas, family, great views and a cosy train carriage that will even offer you a wonderful glass of Sherry and a mince pie! While enjoying the journey across Snowdonia, you will be able to see Santa and his elves as they make their last minute visits to the children onboard the trains. Expect a warm and jolly atmosphere on the last few journeys along these railways.
Bed and breakfast in Snowdonia visitors, along with locals can take the chance to enjoy the journeys that run between Caernarfon and Waunfawr, as well as Porthmadog and Tan-y-Bwlch. There are limited dates and times available before Christmas kicks in, with just the 20th an 21st December left! Trains depart from Porthmadog at 11:00 and 14:15, while other leave from Caernarfon at 10:00, 12:15 and 14:30. You will enjoy a stop to stretch your legs and take lots of photos with Santa and his elves at either Tan-y-Bwlch or Waunfawr, while having opportunity to browse the wonderful gift shops full of goodies for that last minute Christmas shop!
